Color & Landscape/Portrait

This first image was taken at a waterfall in Boyce Virginia. I liked the landscape photo better than the portrait because I was able to capture more of the trees and the ground to the lower left and right side. Overall, the bright colors of the water fall mixes and blends with the brown ground water all while being contrasted by the green trees.

This next image was taken at the Algonkian regional park. I like the landscape version of this picture better than the portrait because I am able to capture more of the blue water. This blue water blends in well with the setting sun causing them to mix together all while reflecting the same colored sky

Lastly, this image was taken at the Ashburn Farm lake. Like the other pictures above, I like the landscape version better than the portrait version. On top of being able to show more of the lake and the sky filled with clouds, I like the landscape version better because it shows and presents the horizontal line created by the buildings, houses. and trees in the center of the image that isn't show as well in the portrait version.
