Form and Background
This first image is of my friend Sergio. I took this picture on the battlefield Manassas park trail. I centered him with the sun shining on the right side of him causing his shadow to form behind him
This next image is of my friend Josh. I took this in his basement with a big spotlight to the left of him. The light wraps around his head and adds focus to the front of his face. I also added a b&w filter to match and blend in with the solid background behind him.
This next image is of my friend Patty. I took this at a waterfall at Boyce Virginia. I centered her in the middle beneath the sun so the sun would shine and illuminate her front with her back being darker.
This next picture is from when I went to Chinatown in Los Angeles this past spring. I angled the camera so the structure would appear in a more 3-D angle and the light shine only on the side of it making half of it dark and half of it light
This last image is a picture of my friend Dominic and Josh. I took this when we were kayaking by the lake next to Josh's house. I wanted to have the two of them off to the side with the sun only shining on the front of them. From here I told them to look down and to the left so the sun would create a silhouette/outline of the their faces with the rest of their bodies being darkened.
